Is the art of being feminine lost to you? If so, why?

Femininity is not misplaced. It's buried under the roles you were rewarded for playing. The question is what you had to become to stay safe.

The women who ask me this question already know the answer. They have been carrying, providing, deciding, and defending for so long that softness feels like a language they used to speak. Not lost — suppressed.

Somewhere along the way, being feminine got expensive. It cost you being taken seriously at work. It cost you a parent's approval. It cost you a relationship where receiving was mistaken for weakness. So you learned to shelve it, and you called that maturity.

The reason you cannot feel your femininity is not because it left. It is because the environments you have been surviving in required a different version of you to keep the peace.

Reclamation begins the moment you stop asking how do I get it back and start asking what would I have to stop doing to feel it again? That second question is the doorway.
