Why most coaching plateaus at year two
The insights stop landing. The sessions start repeating. That is not a failure of the coach. It is a signal you have graduated.
The first year of good coaching is often extraordinary. You get language for things you had never named. Patterns become visible. Choices open up.
The second year gets subtler. And by the middle of it, many women hit a plateau — the sessions are still valuable, but the growth has slowed. Same insights, deeper voice.
This is often not the coach's failure. It is a graduation. You have completed the feeling and naming phase. What you need next is building. Someone who will architect the life the coaching helped you imagine.
That is the seam. Most women stay in coaching too long because leaving feels like disloyalty. It is not. It is progression.
