Femininity is not a costume
You cannot shop your way into it. You can only stop performing long enough to feel it.
The internet sells femininity as a wardrobe. Slip dresses, pilates, pearl earrings, a specific kind of latte. If you buy the props, the identity will follow.
It does not. You know because you have tried it. You have owned the dresses. You have taken the pilates class. You still feel like you are playing a woman rather than being one.
Femininity is not what you put on. It is what is left when you stop performing. It is the moment nobody is watching and you catch yourself humming.
Any definition that requires an outfit is a definition someone is selling you. Keep looking.
