Perimenopause and the death of the old you
It is not just a hormonal transition. It is a systemic invitation to stop being who you never quite were.
Perimenopause is not a disease. It is a renegotiation. The body stops being willing to run the old operating system, and the mind has to decide whether to fight the update or install it.
Many women fight. They medicate the symptoms, chase the old vitality, mourn the old face, resent the change. Fair. Understandable. Also, exhausting.
The other path is to treat the transition as intelligent. What can you no longer tolerate that you used to? What are you no longer willing to pretend? What version of you is being retired against your will?
The reinvention is not optional. Only your relationship to it is.
