Why you keep choosing the same man
Different name, different job, same nervous system pattern. Until you name it, you will keep casting for the role.
Look at your last three partners. Different professions, different backgrounds, different faces. Now look at how you felt three months in.
The feeling is often eerily identical. Slightly unseen. Slightly overworking to earn presence. Slightly older than you should have to feel. That is not coincidence. That is casting.
Your psyche is running a repeat until the underlying pattern is resolved. It will keep finding actors to play the role until you fire the director.
The director is you. And the resolution starts by naming the feeling first, then noticing you have felt it before, then asking what part of you keeps needing that particular story.
