You cannot outsource your inner work to a partner
No man can heal what you refuse to look at. He can only get blamed for it eloquently.
Many women arrive in a relationship hoping the right man will finish the healing they have been postponing. He will love the parts of them that were unloved, and the wound will close.
It does not work. The right man makes the wound visible because his safety exposes what is still raw. He does not heal it. He surfaces it.
Then the woman blames him for the pain of the surfacing, and the relationship gets tagged as the problem, and she leaves — carrying the exact same wound to the next man.
The work is yours. He is a partner, not a treatment plan. When you accept that, the relationship stops being a battlefield and starts being a home.
