The nice girl is not a good woman
There is a difference between kindness and compliance. One builds trust. The other builds resentment.
The nice girl says yes to protect the relationship. The good woman says the true thing to protect the relationship. They are not the same person.
Niceness is optimized for the room's comfort. Kindness is optimized for the other person's actual wellbeing, which sometimes requires disappointing them.
Toxic femininity lives in the confusion between the two. It performs harmony and privately keeps score. It smiles through the offense and pays it back six months later with distance nobody understands.
You do not have to be harsh to graduate from nice. You have to be honest. That is the whole graduation.
