When did you stop feeling like a woman?

There is usually a moment. A season. A relationship. Find it, and you find the door back.

Femininity does not usually leave in a single afternoon. But if you trace the timeline honestly, there is a season it went quiet.

It might have been the promotion that required you to become harder to be heard. It might have been the miscarriage nobody let you grieve out loud. It might have been the year you decided nobody was coming, so you would carry it yourself.

Name the season. Not to relive it — to mark it. This is when the trade happened. This is what I gave up. This is what I have not yet asked for back.

You cannot reclaim what you refuse to acknowledge you lost. Naming the moment is the first act of return.
